DESCRIPTION:The Hebbertsburg Community Center Dinner-Dance series for 2023 continues on July 8th and again on the second Saturday of August (12th) for the final dance of the season. \n\nDoors open around 3:15 PM.\nFood is available at 4:15 PM.\nDance music with Memory Road (the trio with Dennis\, Ken & Glen) is from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.\nAs\, in the past\, the Sweet T Cloggers will entertain you on the breaks.\nThe Cakewalk contest remains at $1 a chance\, with several volunteers providing the delicious cakes.\nAdmission – $7.00 per person at the door.\nDinner (Optional) – $11.00 per person (food costs have greatly increased). Meal choices are: spaghetti and meat sauce with bread or a BBQ sandwich with beans and chips and both meals include your choice of coffee\, tea\, water or a soft drink. Extra beverages and/or a dessert are still $1.00 each.\nNOTE: All of the workers at Hebbertsburg are volunteers and all monies collected are used to cover ongoing expenses.\n\nDirections: From Fairfield Glade\, from the 4-way stop\, take Peavine Road north (away from I-40) about 5 miles to the Y in the road with the stone house in the center. SUMMARY:Hilltoppers Benefit Concert (Trio)
DESCRIPTION:On Thursday\, July 13th\, Saint Francis of Assisi and the Knights of Columbus will present an outdoor concert at the square at the corner of Peavine Rd. and Stonehenge Drive in Fairfield Glade. This is a FREE concert\, however donations will be accepted to raise money for the Hilltoppers\, Inc. (a non-profit agency that provides supports and services to adults with intellectual and other specific disabilities promoting health\, independence and employment to achieve success and a full life). \nMemory Road (the Trio\, featuring Dennis\, Glen & Ken) will be performing several of your favorite oldies from the 50’s thru the early 90’s. Knights of Columbus member\, Larry Opatik\, is expected to do a couple of guest songs with the group. The show begins at 5:00 PM with performances by some of the ‘Hilltoppers‘ who are being aided by the program. \nNOTE: Should the event be postponed by weather\, the following Thursday\, July 20th is a “Rain Date”.
